Tips so weapons dont vanish?

Recommended Posts

- I'm prowling around the NW airfield when I see a helicopter crash on the airstrip.

- I wait for about 5 minutes to see if theres any motion

- I decide to approach it and soon hear flies buzzing.

- To my delight theres two dead bodies at the base of the helicopter.

- I search them and find a LA5A2 and a MK48

- I'm beyond giddyness with the awesome find.

- I make enough space in my bag for the l85 and use the mk48 as my primary

- Zombies aggro me and I shoot them down. I've made a lot of noise so I run away asap.

- I hoof it out o the airstrip and find a safe place to check out my new weapons.

- I log out because its getting too dark and join a daylight server.

Both weapons gone ....

This is not the first time it has happened to me.

What is going on? Why are weapons deleting? How can I safeguard myself from this happeneing? Should I play for an extended period of time before logging out to ensure they dont delete?

Any tips appreciated

I think giving it a few minutes after you collect something before logging out helps!

Although i have also had weird things like this happen.

i.e. eat some food, and the game remenbers that i used the food up, but it doesnt remember to save the blood boost or the hunger icon going green again.

Server desync prob has more to do with it though. :(

I tend to lie under a tree or something for a few mins before I log out just to make sure.

Also make sure you don't have the yellow/red desync icon up when logging out.

I've been having this problem as well and the best solution I have worked out so far seems to be to add something new to your active inventory (any item works as long as it was not already in your active inventory (I'm not sure whether or not items taken from your backpack will work, though)).

For whatever reason, this seems to force the game to register the changes to your inventory,

I think you might have encountered 2 separate problems maybe. The L85 is in the game still but from everything I have read (I have done alot of searching on the subject since I just found one) it indicates that if you log off with the L85 on you it disappears possibly still bugged. What you do is place it in your tent before logging off and it will still be there and you can use it the next day rinse and repeat.

The L85 and Ghillie suit issue are kind of tied together it has to do with anti-hack measures rocket placed in so they are in the game but are still bugged. You put a ghillie on it doesnt save your progress so anything collected before logging off will be gone from what I understand. So what people do is carry civilian clothing and switch back to that before logging off.

The MK48 isn't bugged so you might have just lost that because it didn't save before you logged off.

This is what I do as well, but I don't know if it helps, but is seems too. I swap an item from back to primary and then back, but I also wait about 2 minutes before I log out as well.
