Troubles With BattleEye and 1.61

I downloaded the game from steam and have been able to play the actual game (outside of DayZ) just fine. However when I try to play on a DayZ server that's when everything goes to hell. Every server I click on says that it runs version 1.61, and it clearly says that I have version 1.61 but it won't let me join.

Then when I go to try and reinstall BattleEye just to make sure everything's in order, it stops soon after I start it up and a window saying "Missing String" pops up. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

1.61 is the version of the game?

My first question would be: Did you installed the latest beta patch for Arma?

My adwise to you:

If you cant join a server then download the "six updater" and install it. Then start the "six launcher.exe" and click on update. (So you get the latest update on dayz mod and the latest beta patch for arma 2)

i dont think its a battle eye issue because you are talking about version 1.61 which is the version that arma 2 got. So make sure you installed the latest beta patch.
