Oh man what a pain :(

Recommended Posts

Like the threat tittle already says, what a pain...

The pain is DayZ. I have seen DayZ for the first time on youtube, some let's players played it. I thought to my self " Man what a awsome game".

I love survival games and DayZ looks so badass. The graphic is not super great but it is still good but i don't care much about graphic.

I was more interested in the big Map and the great survival content, killing some boars, chop down some trees (well, not really ;P ) and make fire to cook the pork and eat it to survive.

Walking through forests, to get to the next town/ruin or village to get some equipment, but there is one thing that makes the game so fascinating.

You are not alone! It must be a great feeling to have heart racing all the time because you can be dead in the next minute.

This games seems like it has all this that what i really like in a survival game.

But to bad that i wasted all the time of 2x after hours, to get DayZ installed, run it and played it with a blurry and poor graphic and much lagg. Seems like my PC is not as good as I thought.

Also the loading of the game has taken to long, so i tried to fix it with some guide here on the forum, but it has make it even worse. Now i can't play DayZ.

What great two days. I almost smashed my 80$ gaming mouse of pure rage and my keyboard doesn't tastet really good...

I found out about this through a friend on Friday. Had so many issues with trying to get Combined Ops/Op Arrowhead to load through Steam that it took me about 30 hours to finally play. Well worth it, though. Hope you can ramp up your rig and join the party soon.

Yup, it took me an entire evening to get it working.. I was drinking beer at the time which didn't help either. :P

Once it was working, it was an amazing experience.. the sense of wonder that you get from just wandering around the map is amazing.

It sucks trying to get it set up, but it's possible, and like Mike said above me, it's well worth it! :)

Did you try just running Arma II by itself? DayZ might be causing the lag. If so, your rig isn't the problem.

I will try it again at the weekend. I will remove everything and install everything again.

I use the Six Launcher. When i run Arma 2 wouldn't it start A2 without DayZ?

Edit: BTW, does anyone know a good video/guide for the installation of DayZ?
