Can't Reload Pistol?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone else encountered a problem where your pistol won't reload if you still have bullets in the magazine? I tried with a 1911 and revolver while my brother tried with a Glock and M9 SD. A friend of mine also tried with his 1911. The problem has only come up for the past few days and seems to be intermittent. Sometimes it will allow me to reload, but most times I can't. It's kind of frustrating because sometimes I'll won't notice the magazine hasn't changed and find myself with only a few bullets.

This only has applied to pistols, rifles and shotguns have worked fine.

Anyone else meet this issue?

Yeah I had that, but today it started working normally again. Dunno what caused it though.

Frequently occurs when I'm using a G17. Never had it with other guns. You can work around it by dropping/bagging all your ammo. Just be carefully not to lose it.

I've been having this happen to me with my M1911 since 95054, and my friend with his revolver is fine.

Not a server specific issue, nor is it an ammo issue (dumped my ammo when I found some more for it, tried reloading, but same deal).

The gun just doesn't pick the fullest mag anymore, if it even tries to change mag at all.

My issue was apparently solved when I stood up under a low doorframe (the building was about 4 feet underground, and I crawled in) and died. Two hours later when i finally got back to Gorka, the 1911 reloaded fine.

It's because you don't have full clips in your backup mags. When you reload it takes some of the ammo from what you have in your inventory.

The problem is that every other magazine is full, so the game is just choosing not to change out magazines. :( Kinda sucks when you are in a pickle.

Did a bit of methodical testing with the gear I had.

It seems to be related (though possibly not limited) to DMR mags and the weapons that use them, the DMR and the M14 AIM. When I had the weapon alone, or mags alone, in my inventory the sidearm reloaded fine. Add both a weapon (either) and at least one magazine, and the pistol would never reload. Drop the mag, pistol reloads.

This, for me.

This is also the main reason I never pick up the DMR/M14.. Even if I REALLY want a sniper, nope. But that glitch/bug what have you only occurs when I have a G17 or 1911. The revolver, makarov, and M9 work as intended regardless of primary.

I've had it happen in every patch I've played. I haven't noticed any particular gun or situation where it happens. It just seems to happen until I reconnect sometimes.

Just happens to me with side arm ammunition.

Happens more commonly with recombined m1911/revolver ammo

I can confirm that it happens with the Glock, too. Is there any info on this being looked into?
