Survival Timer

After playing DayZ for a few weeks now I had a simple idea that I thought might add a little something to the game, I've seen a few people wanting more of an endgame and thought maybe something as simple as just a survival timer would add a sort of goal in the game.

The suggestion is that when you die you get the usual youre dead message with a message telling you how long you survived.

i.e.

You Died

You Survived For 1D 3H

Would maybe give rise to some comparisons and maybe some form of achievement for lasting longer than last time or longer than 35 Minutes :P

Not that I heard about this until recently, but it does give you a day counter when you log in I believe. Always thought that white text was semi useless information.

Funny I never noticed we get the Day X at the bottom right when logging in, just think when you die a total timer of days and hours you managed to survive would be pretty cool.

It is still a nice idea for sure. Something similar to the death recap that Project Zomboid has basically, which is another awesome alpha zombie survival type thing. Only its single player and isometric graphics lol. But they got that part dead on.

Most I ever got was 19, then a botched camp raid ended that.
