Beta Patch exe not picking up on DayZ Files?

Recommended Posts

First off, I have ARMA 2 and OA on Steam. I haven't been able to get the game running with the appropriate launch parameters through Steam so I stuck to using the ARMA 2 OA Beta Executable to get into the game. I had no problems with this until the latest update for the beta patch (94997) where I found myself stuck on the "Wait For Host" message whenever I joined a server. So I downgraded back to 94786 and now I can get into the lobby of most servers before I kicked out because "the server relies on content that has been deleted" and it proceeds to list all of the DayZ files needed to run the game. Only, the thing is that I have all the files:

In the top right corner of the menu when I run the Beta Patch executable, it doesn't read "@dayz" beneath everything else. Any hints?

Try reading the readme, that the beta patch provides.

Once you figure it out " -mod=@DayZ "

Protip: you are doing it wrong, so far.

(Not trying to be mean, just teaching skills you will need to use the ARMA engine)

-mod=@DayZ is what I had originally and it completely failed. I'll give it a shot now though... Nope, now I can't even Join the server.

Edit: This has also caused all Australian servers (all of which would have the lowest ping for me) to be pushed far down the latency list due to them not being compatible.
