I see so many hate threads(i have posted one my self), but what I don't see very often if ever are threads thanking the man behind the mod, Rocket. This game is incredible. Its almost not even a game, it borderlines a social experiment about what could happen if an invasion like this did occur. I have to say this is one of the most immerse experiences I have ever had in my years of gaming and I love it. Sure it can be buggy at times. We have all been hit by zombies threw walls, killed by ghosters, or encountered hackers. But that is the glory of this, its ALPHA. It will all be fixed eventually. Hopefully sooner than later but hey. I enjoy it how it is. I cant wait until this game becomes a standalone title and I can look back on how it is now. Thank you Rocket for making this all possible.

Agreed. DayZ is the best mod to hit any game ever IMO.

People seem to forget that it's still in alpha stage so it's going to be buggy. I have to laugh at those who complain about things that have to do with the ArmA engine and not the mod. New players haven't had to live with them like those who have been playing ArmA since the beginning so they take it out on Rocket and I feel sorry for him sometimes as most of the outrage needs to be aimed at BiS for their lack of fixing bugs over the years. But that's what happens when you have a niche game, you dont have a big enough budget due to lack of sales.

I hope BiS (as I'm sure they are now) is paying attention and tighten up the engine for ArmA 3. And I hope they don't take it too far to appease all the CoD influx of players and stick with what makes ArmA the great game that it is by being a simulator.

You don't get a mod like DayZ by going the way of abandoning the community like the CoD series did to theirs.

Bravo Rocket and BiS, BRAVO!

Very true. I agree with you.. I think all the hate and negativity it's getting can actually be viewed positively if nothing else. It shows people like the game THAT MUCH to be so angry when a bug occurs although I don't agree with it, it's just another way of looking at it.. I too have had an amazing time with this game and so far I've had some of the best times I've had while playing video games !! Kudos to rocket and cheers to the future.

This is not really related to the topic but not 5 minutes after posting this thread I stumbled upon a crashed helicopter. I found an M107, two FAL's, and a M14. Thanks for that too Rocket.

I'm surprised there isn't someone in here yet spouting about how much the game sucks and we're all fags.

Keep the love flowing guys.

Best mod since the original CS. Much love to you and your team Rocket.

It should say something that despite the many bugs, Day Z is still exceptionally popular. It is a unique experience offered by no other game / mod, again showing the affinity gamers have for high-quality sand boxes (Minecraft, anyone?)

Can't wait to see how this develops. Just please don't make me bug out and lose my loot anytime soon :)

I have yet to actually play DayZ (my PC is far to weak) but I've watched so many videos, read so many stories I feel like I've played it.Rocket made something amazing and, it might become a stand alone game.

tactical ops for unreal tournament was probablly the best mod scene i have ever been involved with, was a mapper for it myself, it turned to shit once it got retail though... this game though, its turned to shit even before hitting retail... sorry to say... Dont get me wrong, its a fun game, but the community is terrible...

I have never found this level of immersion in any game so far. Especially not in a mod.

For an alpha this is exquisite, I only hope that Rocket and the team continue working hard to push things even further.

Some people will come and go to the next big thing but I can guarantee you that everyone will be changed by the experience Day Z has shown us in some way.

For that I thank Rocket, the dev team, his support team, BIS and all of the players that have made this one of the best things I have played in recent memory.

Best Mod I've played for a long time. Been enjoying every second I am on the game, regardless of the bugs and hopefully it will only get better !

Thanks Rocket and Team !
