djkling 5 Posted July 17, 2012 Uh, can someone tell me if this is a hack, but i was on a US server (sheit... I dont recall which) but I was walking east from Balota airfield and all the sudden everything got a red hue (middle of the night, mind you) and I realized that there were flames coming up from what appeared to be the western edge of Cherno. It was late, and I tired, so I logged off and then wanted to know... is this a random game event that I'm unaware of? Can I be hurt by it? Burn! 7 Posted July 17, 2012 I'm sure it's hackers, yes. Saw just the same thing west of Cherno (which translates to east of Balota) and in lots of other places. I even spawned in Elektro once while it was completely on fire, couldn't see it while I was inside but when I walked away from the town center, it was light as day all of a sudden and I turned around only to see that Elektro seems to have switched to traditional means of producing energy. dallas 5195 Posted July 17, 2012 The bug usually happens when a helicopter crashes and explodes, in some instances the fire of the burning wrech, will appear as big as a napalm strike or a wildfire. It's harmless, but annoying and I think the only way to fix it, is to restart your game.I guess since helicopters are currently disabled, it was most likely a hacked in aircraft.
