Bashka_IF 0 Posted July 17, 2012 imagine - you met a guy, now you know he is good and friendly. In Real Life you remember his face, voice. Next time you see him you will not shoot at sight )The Idea is that players can exchange some cloth tags (wear it on right arm for ex.), that is only visible to each other. And for practical use should be able to choose color of the tag I gave to another player. Tomoday 7 Posted July 17, 2012 It'd be nice if a system was much more thought out than that, since it's supposed to be as realistic as can be. I don't think you'll memorize someone from a couple hundred meters away. A step in the right direction though.
Deviant (DayZ) 43 Posted July 17, 2012 This has been talked about, but some kind of "identification" system would be interesting, like bandanas. In the first days of Dayz (lol) a few of my friends and I were color coded with chemlights, so we knew who was who. uberwolfe 25 Posted July 17, 2012 Not really useful to me as I don't specifically play on the same servers (blame small selection of Aussie servers that are perpetually full)I generally don't see the same player twice... and in a pool of 500k+ players... Bashka_IF 0 Posted July 17, 2012 (edited) > "generally don't see the same player twice..."if you first met in store and exchange tags and later met each other in hospital then these tags will save nerves for both of you )Yes, it will be visible from , say, 100 meters (that's distance in real life when face becomes recognizable). And primary use I think will be - tagging your teammates. And I think that bondana is better than arm tag.
