yankee_1776@live.com 20 Posted July 16, 2012 If i leave my equipment in a stash before i go into a city, can i come back and retrieve it if a bandit kills me?
Disgraced 1123 Posted July 16, 2012 I don't know how long, but today, I left a gun on the ground that I found at a help crash. After discovering that it was a legitimate gun in game, I logged back in probably two hours later and it was still in the field where I left it.
Doctor_sloth 119 Posted July 16, 2012 I believe that if you place it, it stays there until picked up or the server restarts. Don't take my word for it though. If you'd like to do that (which I do) then get a tent and set it up, put all of your nonessential items in it, then go foraging. Make sure you remember where it is, but make sure it's hard to find ( I know it sounds dumb but it's easier than it sounds) For instance, find a common but recognizable building such as a shack. Then, follow a line from the shack to the treeline and try to find another common but noticeable landmark such as a fallen tree. Then head in a different direction about 400 meters, and slap your tent down. This should make it easy for you to find, but well hidden enough to where it doesn't get looted. Just something I do and have had success with, the main issue is finding a tent. I wouldn't leave gear that I'd like to pick back up laying around on the ground. A tent is hard to spot in a green forest under some pine trees, but something like say a big yellow flashlight is easier to see than you might think.Good Luck
yankee_1776@live.com 20 Posted July 17, 2012 (edited) Thanks, I'll start stashing my stuff before going someplace dangerous from now on. Too many people who have twitchy trigger fingers out there.Alright..I dropped my stuff but my body's duration outlasted my equipment that I placed on the ground. Lucky I only had a compass, watch, Enfield, 50 rounds of ammunition, an M1911 and 30 5 clips, and survival gear..so it's not a massive loss, but it still sucks..D: Edited July 17, 2012 by Cheeseburger
John Grimmer 11 Posted July 25, 2012 Yeah, I was thinking of dropping my as50 and rangefinder, but on second thought I won't.
