bogroll (DayZ) 26 Posted July 17, 2012 takfar .. what you did happened to me exactly.Ended up with 13 tents out of thin air (from two initially), often breeding/multiplying so's my well hidden tent became a not so well hidden village of em. Also some duplicated loot. I was scratching my head as to which ones were the original to try and sort this knot out but alas I couldn't think of anything to do - then I got killed by a tree setting up a tent away from the others.Earlier I'd found a group of 3 tents and nicked a few very high ends. They disappeared from my tent after a day and were back in the old tent. I nicked em again and moved them to superb spot 2 km's away.- but back they went to the original owner. Thought it was map hackers but now not so sure.Then my tent had 3 SVD's plus 3x3 extra mags for it, plus 3 GPS's. Brain hurts. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Aitloian 11 Posted July 17, 2012 Well whenever I've raided tents and camps for example whatever new items were getting we always put it in a "safe" tent or vehicle and its always there on server reset/next time we log in. Are you guys looting sweet stuff and throwing it in your "unproven" tent? Maybe when the items are dissapearing from those unsafe tents its actually going back to its last save point? However how do I know that those stolen items weren't duplicated in the 1st instance? One SVD plus ammo became 3 (plus other stuff) in my tent and ALSO reappeared in the original tent where I'd stolen it.I'm sure this'll be sorted soon. Does anyone know if a grenade will clear out a respawning tent for good? Also, if I find a tent is problematic (not saving contents correctly) won't packing it up to place somwhere else risk creating yet another respawning nuisance? And does packing up a tent *always* cause a respawning nightmare, or is just a possible, but not certain, bug?Were you actually saving the tent? Yea, that's tent 101. Worrun (DayZ) 108 Posted July 17, 2012 Walking through the forest yesterday for 4 hours I came across about 12 different tents, all of which were empty. There was even one on the top floor of a Castle tower in the absolute middle of nowhere.Shame I couldn't sleep in them for blood or take them for money or some crap :( 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

jubeidok 495 Posted July 17, 2012 Tons of bugs, and ones that allow for some pretty nasty outcomes...if you're into fair play that is.Thus, my number one rule with tents...Once it's placed, leave it alone.Another thing I need to remember, is to save any tent I loot after looting it.
