Respawn Verification

Recommended Posts

Dear reader,

I'd like to make a suggestion about the Respawn button.

I would like to see a verification added: Are you sure you want to respawn? (yes / no)

This is because today (after 2 days of surviving successfully) I tried going to options, but I accidentally clicked respawn, and poof, dead.

I hope you can all agree on this,

kind regards,

Siparti

This has already been suggested. But I did the same thing before. I had an as-50 n m9 silenced and I was at camp way up north and was adjusting my options n clicked respawn my acc. Luckily my buddy picked me up in solichny with the pbx :)

I'd like to see a safety on my weapon first. Accidental discharges are not nice and often result in messy situations. ;)

Be more careful when you click after pressing escape. Most folk only do this once - me included and I am awesome.

I don't think this has anything to do with my topic. In any case, I think accidentally firing your weapon is just a risk of the game. I've heard countless RL stories of people accidentally firing off their weapon, joking around without knowing it was loaded among other things. You may accidentally fire a shot if you aren't careful, this is just realistic, and you should accept the consequences (adoring fans).

In light of the above, if you encounter the problem of shooting when you resume the game very often, I think it's a personal issue (no offense) but I've never heard of anyone firing his weapon accidentally in such a way :P

I think it has everything to do with your QQ post.

Let's not bring RL into it as it is not RL in game. However as someone who has played ARMA for a decade now (im guessing you bought it for DayZ like the other 90% of players) I think it could do with a weapon safety toggle. After all it does have a fire mode button and reload button etc and it is a military sim. Plenty of people have accidentally fired in game because its a lot easier to press your primary mouse button than pull a real rifle trigger. Mouse - about 3-6 ounces and an AR15 - 7-8 pounds.

I can see now it was a mistake answering your post. It has nothing to do with the thread. Can you please refrain from posting your butthurt in this thread?

I've had way more instances of accidental discharge than accidental respawning(never done it lol). All it takes is an extra click, same with the respawn button. Also, it can't be fixed, its an arma thing, so stop asking ;)

No problem. I will refrain. Let us all focus on your butt hurt instead then. Need some ointment?

Save the childish remarks for some internet blog site. You only make yourself look like your eight years old, and I'd be in great disbelief if you said otherwise after that kind of comment lol. The suggestions forum is for constructive feedback, not your anal lube comments.

The respawn button is hella annoying and should have a confirmation button if not be removed altogether. If people wanted to kill themselves, they could find zombies in about 60 seconds or less. Misclicking and wiping days of work is lame, if they had a kill-yourself-in-one-button beside options in diablo 2 hardcore, people would misclick and rage too.
