DayZ setup questions

Hey guys, I realise these could be very stupid questions. So please forgive my ignorance.

I'm using a steam copy of ARMA 2 and my previous installation of DayZ got a bit messy, so I'm trying to get rid of the mod and reinstall it to clean things up without reinstalling ARMA 2 itself.

I've moved the Dayz mod files, replaced the beta patch to the original and deleted the target line, but I've still got an "arma 2" message (where @DayZ, Beta sit and I even had Extension there as well) on the menu of ARMA 2.

I can't remember if this is normal or if it's something I've missed.

Unrelated, but on the latest Beta patch I'm getting an "invalid cd key" message. The box says RFT which I'm guessing is the Reinforcements expansion which I don't have. Anyone have an idea of how to fix this?
