Working 94945 beta servers

Just like many of you I downloaded the newest beta and was confronted with the horrible "stuck at waiting for character to create" bug.

I looked around the server list and found a server running that exact version of beta patch. I found it strange that it had people playing on it so I attempted to join it.

I was confronted with "Failed BattlEye initialization" error. At that point I decided to ask uncle Google about such errors since I never got it before. There were some posts about people with corrupt BE files and the fix was to MANUALLY download and install updated BattlEye files off of the official site.

Once I got them copied into the right directory I could join the server, it loads up in 3 seconds, it's using the official hive server - everything is in order.

tl;dr version - Found a 94945 server, updated my BattlEye to the latest version and could log onto it without problems

What I think happened? From what I can understand as a simple player, it looks like the server admins have to update their server's BattlEye files for the latest beta to work.

Yes, thats all they have to do.

94945 runs very good and there is no reason not to update.

Im also stuck at 94945, i cannot downgrade because my game crashes after joining a server.

I hope there will be a new beta patch that every server has to apply, that im not stuck with the few servers running 94945.

If you want to go back to the mismanaged servers that did not update properly just ask one of your friends to send you the old BattlEye files if they didn't replace them yet.

I'm using 94945.

I had to install the latest BE to get it to work.

Seeing that there were only a few servers running 94945 I tried to go back to beta 94876.

This did not work, my game crashes with an earlier beta build, so I've stuck with the latest build.

However, the performance with the latest 94945 seems greatly improved.

Joining a works well.

There is already a 1.6.1 RC, so an official patch is incoming, so everybody :thumbsup: should be at the same version, at least for a while.

I pre-ordered the new DLC a long time ago, btw.

The crashing is caused by the updated BattlEye files. Ask one of your friends to send you the other ones and it will stop crashing on the outdated servers with old beta patch.
