Mid game my screen goes black and says Receiving.

Mid game my screen goes black and says Receiving and then gets stuck in a loop and never goes back to normal. I have to close out and restart.

Any ideas?

Graphics are down already.

I've begun to get the same thing despite having a powerful PC that has run this game without error so far. Seems to have started happening after 1.7.2.3 and usually after about 10 minutes of gameplay.

been running 1.7.2.3 for a few days without issue, but this has just started happening for me too, but only today. did think it might be a server issue as I always use the same one (us 5) and I'v not tried another yet.

found a few posts on the old forum that say its a graphics issue in arma???

anyhow turning down a memory and detail settings seems (touch wood) to have fixed it.

I had this, got an error in windows saying I was running low on memory and that windows wanted to close down Arma to save some (bugged or whatever cuz only 60% was being used)

anyway, I made a pagefile on my D: drive and havent had it since (altho, get like 10 fps if I stay in a big city for too long, guessing my PC just says fuck you to the remaining 40% and goes to the pagefile)

Well I've been having this issue for a week and crashed a lot of helis because of it not to mention dying.

Does anyone have any idea how to solve it?

Same problem after buying Dayz alpha version on Steam. It says receiving, then receiving no new messages, then count down up to around 60 before kicking me off the server. Sounds similar to your issue?

Anyone know anything about this weirdness? Would appreciate a hint.

The hints I've seen on this so far is basically switch server and check firewall/antivirus settings.
