i saw arma2:co on amazon for cheap and it was the worst mistake of my life. get dayz on steam to use the 6 updater or don't bother. i can't join online games after 3 days of troubleshooting. there isn't a strong enough of a community to assist you outside the norm. I've re-installed and patched up to the latest version of arma 2 & arma 2:co. & the game now just freezes on joining servers that are the same version number, most of all the servers online have a red "X" - there are no green "X"'s (1.7.23). FU amazon for wasting my time and money. Dayz looks amazing, i wish i could get passed vanilla arma2:co to play it

Go back to CoD.

There are forum sections for asking how to install it properly and there are install guides. Don't cry on the forums without asking first.

It's not that hard. Also sixupdater is.... fickle.

There's a lot a bugs related to install and connecting, but they are all easily google-able. Any more info on exactly what is wrong?

oh god dude, this mod is still in alpha so there are ALLOT OF BUGS - result DEAL WITH IT

After weeks of handling updates manually on my own I decided to see what all the fuss with SixUpdater was about. Soon enough after installing it I started getting weird errors. I also had friends not being able to join up to date servers while they were using it. My verdict is that alpha modding shit should be handled manually and not by some random ass "launcher".

This way gives you more control and visibility if something gets screwed up on the way or if there are any bugs.

This mod is in no way difficult to install and manage and the only thing requiring a know-how is handling file directories - literally putting shit into places.

OT: The problem in this case is NOT with the game or the retailer but the user.
