Scene 36 Posted July 16, 2012 > Can I log in?> Y/N> If Y, then Server has a HIVE> If N, then DONTCAREThat isn't all the helpful since you can log in to servers that don't have access to the official HIVE.Look for servers that are named Location (mod version/beta version) [difficulty][time zone] dayzmod.com - <who ever is hosting it>eg.NZ 15 (v1.7.2.3/94945 [VETERAN][uTC+8] dayzmod.com - Histed by ON3 NetworkThat is the required server name for official DayZ servers so all should follow that format.Other than that if a server isn't on the hive then once you join none of your progress with saved for when you join other servers and will only be saved on that server. Dancing.Russian.Man 1631 Posted July 16, 2012 It's hard to tell, unless you already have a character that's alive. If you logged off somewhere, and changed to a different server later on, only to find yourself at the shore or the character selection screen, you're not playing on a Hive server. If you appeared where you logged off, or somewhere close, you're on a Hive server. Private hives are hives too.It does suck that there isn't a better way to pick out private servers from official ones, though.
