Bandits Down

I got smoked earlier and was pretty pissed but kept playing anyway. Did the usual Cherno run and headed to Balora Airstrip. I was passing the hangers and saw 2 figures lurked in a corner. I paused trying to remember which key was voice chat and they started firing. Ducked around the corner like WTF and immidiatly turned and ran back. People don't seem to expect you to come back for justice. One guy was in the process of going prone and the other was reloading. Smoked one with my AKM and switched to my 1911 and wacked the other.

Happy days. :D

I love to hear that bandits who travel in packs get killed. Being a real bandit means you work alone!

I wouldn't say. If you look at any movie, game or real life "banditry", people tend to move in packs.

Because they are cowards!

I came across a similar situation last night. I heard shooting coming from the Vybor factory building and I snuck over to find two guys killing zombies. I came on voice chat saying "Can you hear me, I'm not hostile I just wanted to see what was going on." They didn't respond but they started looking around, then they began moving in a manner that looked like they were trying to flank me so I decided to kill them. When I said I wasn't hostile I meant it, they shouldn't have given me reason to shoot.

People can whine about bandits/PKers/PVPers (or whatever label you want to use) but it's moments like what the OP described that make the game what it is. The game just wouldn't be exciting without it.

Agree 100%

Finally got a mate onto DayZ the other day and I was giving him some basic training, we hit a couple of deerstands in the mid-North and I had to bring down 3 zombies with my M14 who had pinged him as he went up the ladder. Those gunshots alerted a couple of nearby bandits who flanked the tower and shot my buddy right in the head without a single 'how do you do'.

Their big mistake was moving in together then stopping to high-five each other near my buddies corpse - the real threat was 50 metres back from the tree line and was lining the 2 of them up beautifully for some payback.

I took the first one down with a headshot then opened up on the second, he dropped down out of sight but I must have broken his leg, as I moved up slowly he was dragging himself away and I took great pleasure in blowing his brains out.

Scored some great loot too, pity my mate lost his first guy but there was a silver lining in the end!
