Last night I was camping the NW airfield from the control tower building. I was waiting there a while before I saw someone cross in front of me. It was dusk and hard to see, and I knew he couldn't see me - he was like 75 meters away not even coming towards me. I opened fire and hit him at least once with 4-5 shots. After the first shot he ran and hid behind a tree. I shot a few more times into the tree trying to hit him but didn't want to waste all my ammo shooting at trees. The guy then started throwing flares towards me trying to flush my position. After the flares died down, I saw him crawl quickly behind another tree, and then behind a truck, and finally behind a building... I just didn't react quick enough to take a shot. My position was pretty good so I just sat there and waited for him to come around the other side. A couple minutes later I see the door close in the tower building. I knew he was there! I scanned the tower windows and every now and then I'd see him climb up another level, obviously looking for me as he stayed prone the entire time. When he got to the top of the tower, he again started to throw flares out the window trying to flush my position. Ah ha! I knew he was going to stay there looking for me, so I logged out. I jumped to a low-pop server which was daylight. I sprinted past zombies into the building and up the staircases to the top floor. I went right for the back corner of the top floor and logged out of that server. I found the original server this guy was in and logged in. I had no idea where he could be or anything, it was so intense! But I knew by hopping servers like this when I logged in I'd have a really good chance of killing him. So finally I spawn - and I'm RIGHT BEHIND HIM! He's prone on the top floor still looking for me, lol. I take a shot and somehow miss even though he was right in front of me. He whipped around and it looked like he was trying to throw something, so maybe he didn't switch back to his weapon because if he had, he would have been able to kill me as my reload took forever. I then shot again, this time killing him. That was intense! The most epic kill ever!

Sounds more like an epic fail if you needed to server hop to get the better of him.. grow some balls. This is the exact kind of behavior that ruins this game, hopefully one day this type of filthy exploit can be combated effectively.

You Vexus sir.. Well You Suck. I hope you get the same manner of death and then come here complaining that it needs to be changed! I can almost guarantee that you would. What a Loser.

So, you missed your first murder attempt, fucked up your second, had to hop server TWICE until you got lucky and spawned behind him, then you STILL manage to screw up despite being 2 feet from him, got lucky that he didnt have a gun ready to blow your cheating arse out from under you, and finally manage to kill a player for no reason other than being an asshole.

Yeah, go you, that just SO epic.

Is this the fault of the player or of the mod itself? Sure it's the type of play I think many people don't agree with, but as long as the game allows the behavior is will continue and likely increase as the popularity of the product increases. The effects of which will ultimately be negative for the community and the game.

In any case, let me get my rope to your gasoline. :)

It's the fault of the player. End of. Being engaged in a firefight and logging out, moving around, and logging back in, is totally the player's decision, and it's wrong, cheating, and generally hated by anyone in this community who wants to play this game as a decent player.

Just because the mod *can* do this, doesn't make it right or fair, and it's nothing more than cheating.

Epic kill? What you did (server hopping for a killing purpose) was 3x worse than server hopping for looting purpose...

Shame on you.

So, for everyone here:

Kill it before it lays eggs!!!

So at some point one of a few things will happen. Either A) the mod will be updated to discourage such behavior or make it distasteful as to not engage in the behavior, or B) it will continue and likely get worse depending on the numbers of players playing.

This isn't the first rodeo for this type of gameplay and gamers. Multiserver PvP muds, mmo's have had this exact issue for decades and ultimately no amount of forum hand slapping is going to change the behavior. Look at every single open PvP MMO since the text days and beyond. The solution isn't to kill the troll with fire, but to kill the reward system where unsavory behavior isn't rewarded by lax game mechanics. Ergo, it's the fault of the mod.

This is not a troll post, I guess I should have posted this in stories or something, but looks like some people don't care and can't read black text on black background.

First off, it's not other peoples fault that you choose to use the "wall of text" format. Please learn to make use of paragraphs.

Secondly, expecting people to read text that you have intentionally hidden is.... well sad really. You make it black on black and then make it small text. What is the payoff there? Just to have people respond exactly how they responded, so that you can say "You are all wrong, look here where I said it was all different than what I previously stated"? If that isn't a troll attempt then it is close.
