This is what i hope for, in terms of vehicle mods when DayZ is standalone. Maybe a lil too hopeful.

These are pictures of vehicles customised by mexican drug cartels used for fighting rival gangs and the state :S

Not intentionally envoking the completely grim set of circumstances going on in mexico for the sake of a game suggestion. But if narco traffickers are building these things and going up against the military and police in em, says something about human potential :S

Suggestion: Uber mod your vehicles into apocalyptic zombie mowing mad max machines.

I understand that, tis a very disturbing topic, ive read well into it so im not completely ignorant of whats going on there, but I think it at least gives a real life example of the kind of vehicles im talking about, rather than drawing up numerous film examples.

Amazing how many peeps dont know how grim its gone over the past 4/5 years. nm

I guess you could say its more a testament to the power of money then human potential..

don't know how much can arma 2 support tho

also forgot to add that it is being ported over to arma 3, and maybe not COMPLETELY customisable, as surely real life examples of potential coded vehicles would be clearly impractical and in some cases impossible. But even if ye had a few set designs for each vehicle, requiring a specific amounts of scrap metal, ye would be safe as fook! Until ye run out of fuel in range of a sniper :S

im confused. I'm of mexican descent...but why is this offensive?...nothing offensive was stated.

BUT, anyways. This is a great idea.....the mod has a long way to go as far as fixing the things it already has implemented to start thinking about adding "tanks" or addable armour on vehicles that are already hard enough to find.

:) well it isnt is it really, to be honest i think a better word would be sensitive. Seen a couple of threads go off topic on sensitive issues.

But yea i think it would be kinda cool, especially if shooting from vehicles is introduced as ive seen petetioned for before on the forums.

Also provides good protection for small groups in a server with other established settlements.

Yeah, I know how bad the cartel situation in Mexico is, even on the other side of the world it makes headlines here... What I'm wondering is why on earth it's offensive to link to a google images link for "narco tanks"?

That's a question directed at RoboSheriff, for being the one claiming offense....

P.S. home-made armoured vehicles fit perfectly with a zombie apocalypse, so +1 for the OP ;)

Well as i mentioned to someone before, offensive is probably the wrong word, sensitive.

Seeing as peeps from all ages are being massacred in horrific ways, wouldnt be suprised if someone whos been affected browses these forums.

I guess its like along the same lines of saying, "holocaust, of course, was a terrible event, but look at them fucking Panzers bruuuv!!"

I think it could be seen as offensive just cuz a very upsetting issue was slightly brought to the surface for the sake of saying, look at these amazing vehicles!!!

But again, i do stand by it, cuz i am well read into it, and i didnt wanna just paste up pics of every other apocalypse film that peeps have seen.
