Currently we are in the process of getting a new mission file to remove it since we have had problems with people spamming mics. It's down to the server owners preference of realism.Just like with 3rd person/nametags/peripheral vision dots, nobody forces you to play on those servers, just play on one of the many hundreds of servers that dont have it enabled like the rest of us do with the preferences you like instead of running to the forums to cry about it.Side chat has been removed by default in the mission files, a small minority of admins have petitioned the developers to have it re-added to their servers though, it isn't actually against the rules unless the server owners modified thier mission file themselves. Rocket, you know him, the creator, Wanted to take it out because it doesn't fit with the feel of the game. Countless survival horrors of the past did this too as it's a dumb idea to let people talk and be annoying. The basic chat is people calling people out and telling them to come get them. These people are idiots that's not what this game is about this isn't a trash talking cod shooter it's a realistic survival horror. Also, Yes I do shoot people sometimes, if the have a gun and it's not always to take they're stuff its to stop me from dying, In real life I'd do it to it's about survival.
