Stuck at 'Wait for Host' loading screen

I've recently updated to the new 1.7.2 and once I tried to log into any server I would get stuck at 'Wait for Host' which wouldn't go away. I could still abort by using ESC.

I've updated to the 94945(latest) patch. I do not have any firewall enabled and I am running the game as admin, the mod is also properly showing up in my mods.

Any help, anyone?

Try a different server, it could be that the server you're trying to join is having connectivity / whitelist issues.

I have. Its got be something to do with latest update. i played last night on 1.7.2 and all was fine... downloaded 1.7.2.3 and all goes to hell

Same here. I'm curious to hear if reinstalling worked. I installed the game for my gf as well and she has no problems getting into servers, but I can only seem to join like 1 in 10 servers.

I don't use that thing anymore, I hate it. I use the arma launcher from spirited machine.

EDIT - I reverted back to beta patch 94876 and am able to join servers now.

To do this delete the beta folder located in c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\expansion

download the 94876 patch from http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php/

and install it, Worked for me as a temporary fix anyways

i tried everything from manual to let it get updated by sixlauncher

hey guys i downlaoded all new patches and updates as u and im gettign the same issue...i believe it is server side...hope there is a fix soon

Downgrading to beta 94876 seems to be fixing it for me.

Same issue here.... anyone got a fix? A real fix? I wasn't able to join on the previous beta version... upgraded to the new beta it lets me in but then makes me wait for host indefinitely.

I just upgraded to the new arma2 beta today and i had issues to, same as you.

I went back to 94876 1.7.2.3 and it works fine.

Reverting back to arma beta patch 94876 fixed it for me too.

Today I encountered a problem with battleye not initializing, and had to update my beta in order to update my battlenet. Problem now is that I get the wait for host screen things again.
