17.2.3 it's rather empty out there

I signed back in after a few weeks break (waiting for item bugs to be fixed). Lost my Camo, but at least i kept my items.

However there seems to be very few populaited servers, no problem getting in but where is everyone?

Has the apeal of the mod droped off, as it doesnt seem to be the case from the foroums?

Most servers are using this patch, but have not upgraded to the new beta patch.

I'm confused...there seem to be dramatically fewer servers to select from? Even when adding up those on 1.7.2.3 and 1.7.1.5, the numbers seem way down on my sixlauncher. I see about 10 servers in Seattle when last week I remember seeing over a page, unless my memory is failing me. And one of the Dallas servers we have a tent on has not been online in days.

Are there fewer servers online?

ps, im also one of those new players, and ive got a friend with me aswell who is new, so yeah, its gaining players fast now.

You see fewer Seattle servers because a ton of American servers changed their name to "US" with a number after, ex. US 100, US 101, etc.

The number of players in the last 24 hours went from 130 000 less than two days ago to 110 000 today but that's most likely because of all the patches and the servers are really not empty, there aren't fewer either. ^_^

Thats what i thought, yet the server browser is showing lots and lots of empty servers for me (uk bassed here), and i can get into servers ok so it seems the patch installed correctly.

How odd.
