hey im new just got the free version of arma 2 now i was wondering if there was any way to run it with out operation arrow head since im only a fresh man in high school im straped for cash so i was hopeing there would be a way to enjoy wat every one els is enjoying just not paying for it. i wouldnt even care if i wasnt able to play online.

Kid, DayZ is a mod. It's a mod that uses things from ARMA 2 and ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead.

That is why the mod requires you to have both games.
