Alex067 4 Posted July 13, 2012 Yes, because searching on youtube how to play the game or simply doing the Arma 2 tutorial is TOO GODDAMN HARD. I really do hope a zombie apocalypse happens soon in real life, just to get rid of all the morons.
MichaeLK 16 Posted July 13, 2012 it is kinda tough to explain from here on how to use the inventory and since I guess you're a new player it will be even harder for you to understand what I'm saying.I suggest checking some videos on youtube or some guides on how to play.Things might seem a bit chaotic at first but have patience and search for a few vids and guides... Alpo 38 Posted July 14, 2012 (edited) I usually don't click directly on the loot, instead I hover over it while using the scrollwheel, and then select one of the options that pop up on the left side. Usually you want to select "Gear". This will open the menu where you can chose what you please from the pile or body. Edited July 14, 2012 by Alpo
vitdom 56 Posted July 14, 2012 1. Look at the body2. When you get the gear icon, press G3. Use the arrows to transfer items.

dallas 5195 Posted July 14, 2012 (edited) Right side you see what you have in your own inventory.Left side you see both what's in the corpse's inventory and you have.If you have 5 Makarov magazines and find 2 on a corpse, this will be displayed in your left inventory windows as:<2 Makarov magazines 5>Press < to drop magazines and press > to take.Using the < arrows > to drop items on the ground, is better than pressing the 'Drop' button, quite often items dropped with the 'drop' button is dropped randomly on the ground and sometimes they simply dissappear. This wont happen with the arrow buttons. If you want to place something in your backpack from the ground, open inventory, click your backpack and the 'Open bag' button, then use the arrows to transfere the items. If you need to place a weapon in your pack, handguns require 5 slots and rifles 10. If you don't have enough, you might accidentally delete your weapon. Placing a weapon in the pack, the game will also try to place the weapons' magazines, if you don't have room for both the weapon and magazine, you might lose some magazines. wiggie 0 Posted July 14, 2012 You probably opened up his backpack, that incidently had nothing in it. The backpack is a proxied item in ARMA II: OA, therefore it is not just a change to the model, it is a physical container, much like a weapons box in base game ARMA, that is stuck to the units back. Almost always when you aim at a body, it will detect the backpack first, instead of the player itself. But I agree with some of the harsher posts. If you brought ARMA II just because you wanted DayZ, you will end up suffering for it... Go and play ARMA II, get used to how the game plays, because the tutorials teach you the need to know stuff, when you come up against serious ARMA players, who know how things like supression work, you will loose your beans...
