Firing mode staying constant.

Is there any way to stop a gun's firing mode from setting back to its default when you take other actions? It is a big deal when an AKM (for example) set to semi for medium-long range engagement defaults back to fully auto when you do something else (like switching to then from a sidearm). Making the firing mode you select stay constant until you manually change it would be super helpful.

No, thats just how it is as far as I know. I wasted loads of bullets because of it until I got used to it.

It's an ArmA problem like the ammo problem when you get a fresh magazine on reconect instead of having a the right amount of bullets...it's not saved :(
