meta87 25 Posted July 13, 2012 So, I have had a server for a bit and have run into a few minor issues along the way but the only issue I have been unable to figure out is how to send admin messages to the server.So for example:I want to shut my server down in 5 minutes for patch updates and general maintenance. But I don't want to just shut the server down with a bunch of people on it and risk them losing their gear/location/life because I decide to just shut the server down unwarned.How can I send a message to the server to warn players that the server will be shutting down in 5 minutes?I have setup rcon passwords, however If I login to admin there is no working way I have found to send messages.I can't get any remote rcon program to connect to the server, so that for now is not an option.Any ideas? Denuth 21 Posted July 13, 2012 if you connect to the server on the muliplayer screen click the server control option. Put in your password,should be the same as your RCON and then you are the only one who can talk in global chat. I would still like to find a way to be able to do it via rcon for when I get automated restarts setup so that it can send messages to server 15mins, 5 mins, and right at shutdown.
