I have done this for 2 days and i'm still stuck. I have downloaded an pirate copy of Arma 2 and Arma OA ( without steam or anything ). However, there is no guide for a non-steam instalation so I decided to instal it anyway... just following the steps with Six Updater etc.

So i have Installed Arma 2...then play it until menu

Arma AO then play it till the menu

Downloaded Six Launcher/Updater

Update DayZ, then try to play

What have i done wrong?... I'm getting all kind of errors like "addon "dayz_anim" requires addon "CA_PMC"

In the menu another... with bin/config/vehicle or something like that.

I tired to ignore them all and join a server.. for a second i have saw the latency and some name of the players but then "You were kicked from the server".

And can someone explain what is the "-mod=@dayz" thing and where i must put that... really there is no good guide anywhere here. Im also confused... I must have steam in order to play? or the original game...

What you did wrong was PIRATE ARMA II.

If you really want to promote this mod, then purchase Arma II CO. Bohemia Interactive have taken note of the vast amount of purchases resulting from this mod and by purchasing it you help push this mod towards a stand alone game.
