pvt_ammo@hotmail.com 164 Posted July 13, 2012 (edited) I would like to suggest a color change to the hud to something a little easier to see. Green, I mean really? I've never understood why BiS chose a green hud color in a game where most of the environment is predominantly green. Blue,Orange,Red, White or even Purple would be better. But please consider a hud color change. In some lighting conditions the hud simply disappears.Thanks. Edited July 13, 2012 by Ammo

zorisx 7 Posted July 13, 2012 Basically if the HUD is green, I never really need to worry about anything in this game :P

adamtheheretic 106 Posted July 13, 2012 (edited) The human eye can differentiate between shades of green more than any other colour, that's probably why? I have suggest the HUD to be reduced to almost nothing and include the information in the Journal instead but I don't see what's wrong with the current HUD as a HUD... I guess +1 for customising the colour, not for changing it specifically to another colour that someone will complain about. pvt_ammo@hotmail.com 164 Posted July 13, 2012 The option to change your hud color would be perfect. Unlikely as this would mean changing the base code of the game. I too would prefer to see no hud and just have subtle ques telling the player of changes in their state. Visual blacking out but not actually collapsing is a sign that your bloods getting very low and you're about to pass out. Rumbling stomach a sign that you're hungry. Dry palate sound for thirst. ect ect..But as of now there isn't any of that and regardless of how well the human eye can differentiate between shades of green. Orange, blue, red, white on a Green background is still going to show up better than a shade of Green on a Green background.
enforcer1975 1111 Posted July 13, 2012 You need to modify your files or use mods...but that would instantly get you kicked of servers because you can never know if it's a hack or not, the latter is not always allowed on servers. I'd like to use modded sound and effect files, too but i guess it's impossible for the moment.

Perhaps down the road these will be opened up and allowed. HARCP and LANDTEX are 2 mods I would love to see supported.
