LukeSkywalkers 31 Posted July 13, 2012 So I just updated the ARMA 2 beta and DayZ to version 1.7.2. Now when I join any server and login I just get a black screen and sometimes I can see for a second. It's basically like 10 seconds blackscreen, 1 second I can see, then 10 seconds blackscreen again. However I can move and access my inventory. Also I can drop stuff. And the debug monitor isn't showing up as well. Is there a problem with the main server atm or what am I doing wrong? I don't wanna respawn with all the loot I got by now. Will this bug be fixed soon? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Will this bug be fixed soon?This is happening to me aswell, but when I updated to Build 1.7.2.1 or whatever the most recent one is.Really annoying, I don't wanna respawn with my loot either!Hopefully it's fixed soon. mintypie007 57 Posted July 13, 2012 I have encountered this when I joined an up to date server when I was out of date. I am experiencing the same thing you are right now. There was a message was there before when I did not have the right patch. Right now I can not join any of the newly updated servers and the old servers are giving me the flashing screen. T.G. 48 Posted July 13, 2012 I am updated as of 7/13 to 94876 and cannot play on my regular server as it is still 94444. Servers that are listed as 94876 that I can access give me no audio and split second flash of game in between several seconds of darkness. suspense 210 Posted July 13, 2012 I dont know if you guys are using Sixlauncher or not, if you are, you updated to 1.7.2.2 today, the error you all are experiencing is becuase you are joining a server that is running an older version of the mod, or are messing some files on the server.The only way for this to get fixed is for you to join the correct version server, and for the server owners to correctly update their servers to 1.7.2.2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Watnoob 2 Posted July 13, 2012 I've updated via Sixlauncher and am currently using it, so I'm using the up-to date game version.Also, if I join a server which has an older version of the game; e.g: 94444, It comes up with "Connection failed." if I try to connect/join it.. Even servers that say they are updated to 1.7.2.2 are coming back as out of date and giving me this issue. 1.7.2.1 servers I can't get past "waiting for host." Liqsquid 1 Posted July 13, 2012 I am (Today after updating) experiencing the same black screen for 10 secs followed by 1 sec of graphics, can confirm this is only taking place with the Dayz mod, Arma 2 and Operation Arrowhead are not effected nor is there anything wrong with my system. LukeSkywalkers 31 Posted July 13, 2012 (edited) I updated with the Six Updater and not the launcher still I'm on 1.7.2.2.Can I downgrade with the Six Updater as well or do I have to download the files for 1.7.2.1 or 1.7.1.5 somewhere and install it manually? XAM 48 Posted July 13, 2012 The reason you're getting black screens are because you're connecting to 1.7.2.1 servers and not 1.7.2.2.I first connected to a 1.7.2.2 server and everything worked fine. You're connecting to an outdated server, 1.7.2.1 instead of 1.7.2.2.Take a good look at the server name before connecting.
