Is Face Camo Bannable?

Recommended Posts

Hey, I have a question for the admins, and moderators.

I have seen people in game with camo face skins. I always thought it was a kind of skin that you could select from the profile page, but after further investigation, I noticed it is not. I looked this up online, and saw videos showing people how to do this, by changing character files. This leads me to my question.

Is it allowed to alter your character files in that way to get a camo face skin? Can you be banned by servers, or banned from all of Day Z for this? Please let me know, because if it is allowed, I want a camo skin.

Thanks.

No you can't be banned and there is nothing against it, it's just an option for more advanced users.

As long as an art resource isn't modified in a manner that gives a user a distinct and exploitable advantage over others, I see no issue with custom skinning. The difference between camo face paint and the lack thereof is not going to make much difference in your survival rate.
