Dancingg 27 Posted July 13, 2012 Direct is anyone in your vicinity. Everyone is technically in the same "Group" so group will speak to everyone but don't use that. If the server allows "Side Chat", use that to talk to everyone. Vehicle will let you speak to anyone in the vehicle you're currently in.Direct is the only one you should be on other than side chat (Server specific) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Dingus (DayZ) 429 Posted July 13, 2012 (edited) Direct - Voice/text commincation reaches anyone within about 80 meters of your characterGroup - Voice/text reaches anyone in the game, but they have to be dead or at the lobby I thinkVehicle - voice/text reaches only those in a vehicle with youThere is no true global chat anymore (unless a server has somehow put it in anyway).Also, direct voice chat can attract zombies last I read.
