Constant random game freezes

Recommended Posts

*Which version of the game did you purchase? STEAM or RETAIL or MIXED:

- Steam

*Are you running an Arma 2 OA beta patch? If so what version?:

- Yes. Version: 94700

*Which method are you using to launch the game? I.E Sixupdater/steam/batch file:

- Six Launcher

*What is the Error/Problem you're having? Please provide screenshots if possible:

Throughout the whole game (Not just in a server, but in the menu also), once every 3 or so minutes, my game just locks up and freezes, for about 5-10 seconds. I can hear background sounds (like ocean etc.) but cannot move mouse or keyboard input or anything my screen is just frozen. I have tried upgrading to latest drivers (Nvidia 304.79 driver) and still occurs. This is really annoying me as I have died from these short freezes! I have tried lowering all graphics settings and still no luck.

*Your PC specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 OC. 3.8Ghz

4GB Ram

Nvidia gefore GTX470 (OC edition)

64gb ssd (for OS, Steam folder is on 500GB drive)

*Your Operating System:

Windows 7 Ultimate x64

I have it aswell without overclocking, though I put the blame on my weak pc.

I forgot to add, my brother had the same issue with his PC. The only difference is he has a Core 2 Duo E7500 (Not overclocked), a 9800GTX, and is running Windows 8 Consumer Preview. However after playing a while his freezes just stopped completely?

Maybe it is overclocking?

I will try later on with my overclock off.

I just played for about an hour straight with only 1 hang near the end. That was with no overclock on.
