Hey there DayZ community! I started playing 2 days ago with 3 other friends and WOW, this is by far the most addicting game I have ever played (29 hours logged on steam in last 50ish hours)

I have multiple questions to more "veteran" players who still play right now. So in the last couple of days ive done it all: killed friendlies, been killed by friendlies, killed/been killed by many bandits, owned many different weapons and ran half way through the map just to have my friend break his leg and die :(

One this thats been bothering me lately was the vehicle implementation in DayZ. We have been hopping servers as seattle hasn't proved to have very stable servers today and I've been having SUCH A HARD TIME finding an atv or any type of truck. In every server so far all of the cars on the bottom half of the map are not there (yes I checked ALL the locations) [even threw away aks and m4a1 once to hold fuel tank and engine parts (yes i know those 2 are not really REQUIRED)

So my main question is what tips would you give us? Currently logged out in Staroye and heading to check on cars in Dolina tomorrow (fucking calculus test tomorrow morning)

I looked for videos on youtube and noticed some big clans/groups jump servers that just went up and quickly grab all the vehicles and stash them in their hideout in a forest in the middle of nowhere; thereby effictivelty leaving everyone else on the server transport-free.

Starting a seattle server? Play on one? Have access to vehicles? Know untaken ones? Plox help :(

Just to add an opinion so far: pvp is just silly in this game; I know starting with a revolver has been removed but still in Cherno and Elektro the ONLY noises you hear are automatic assault rifles and death feed filling with names. Been backstabbed SO many times by people who call out friendly when held at gun point but right as you say "Nice meeting you, I will now depart to meet my friends at a different city, gl!" BOOM BOOM BOOM 'You are dead'

-where to look for vehicles in a full server

-seems to be no reason to not be a bandit

The PVP is a little weird at the moment since they removed the Bandit skin from the mod.

Now nobody knows who is a legit friendly.

And, you can't know where to look for vehicles in a full server, since most are atleast moved from their original spawn.

You could use this very useful interactive map to find vehicles -- even specific ones. http://dayzdb.com/map

But do remember what I said; They have most likely been moved from their original spawn.

I just noticed normal ingame map does not match vehicle locations with that one

But just to say.... if any of you have found mass-vehicle bases/own one if a far away server; where would we go to find them and steal a car?

You should also keep in mind that there aren't any complete maps out there. As awesome as the db map is, it still doesn't have all the vehicle spawns on it.

Trust me, I know. I've found some things that are not on the map.
