Can Drink From the Water Taps without a Water Bottle

Again same topic. This drinking became problem when we stopped spawning with a water bottle. So until some fix in new parch find yourself a water bottle first

And if you're infected/sick the tap becomes infected (for a reasonable time) and the next player to drink out of that tap catches whatever you got.

Drinking from the source should be possible without tools...but drinking from ponds or lakes or whatever unsafe source should have the chance of making the player sick with a high probability. Makes soda worth more.

I support this idea. I think we should also be able to drink from lakes and water fountains too.

On this logic, the water you collect in water bottles from the lakes would also be unsafe, and if you want to go with realism here, you think the human body can sustain itself on nothing but pepsi and cola?

Some seem to survive with nothing than that...so yes i think it's possible but they wouldn't keep their teeth for long. Beer, vodka and whiskey would be an alternative but because most ppl turn post processing off you don't have to deal with the side effects.

Incidentally, I got to this thread by using the search function. Figured it was a common idea and I'd just add to an existing conversation.

Either way, my suggestion would be to add a "drink" mousewheel option whenever in range of a water source that can fill a bottle.

Also, empty whiskey bottles should count as a water bottle.
