Is the PMC DLC worth it for the higher res textures?

Recommended Posts

So the Steam sale started today and the PMC DLC is $2 off. From what I've been told if you buy the PMC DLC you will have higher resolution textures for playerskins and weapons.

Does anyone already have the DLC and are there any comparison screenshots?

steam might have an awesome deal on arma and dlc, wait until the 23rd before you buy anything unless its a game deal of the day.

>buying an expansion pack just for HD textures in an alpha version of a mod.

Honestly, I'd say no, that's one of the shittest reasons for buying DLC.

Honestly, I'd say no, that's one of the shittest reasons for buying DLC.

Which is why I would never pay full price for it.

most are buying a game and an exspantion to play that mod, so your already in the shit waist deep.

and again it goes back to what rocket was saying, putting out money for this game, shows the big dogs were tired of carebear games.

Hello there

Buy the DLC *just* for the textures? No.

Buy it to have all the added lovelyness and PMC content/campaign/missions in Arma2? Definitely.

Buy it to support the Devs of A2? Absolutely.

Then one day you might find out the core joys of A2 and the rest of the massive modding community.

Get the other DLC's too IHMO and don't forget the upcoming one.

For me the DLC's have easily been worth the small price for the hours i've spent playing with them.

Get them. get them soon.

I couldn't honestly answer that question. I had PMC long before I heard of DayZ.

This is probably one of the best posts I've ever seen on the Dayz forums. And the point is absolutely worth repeating; a great reason to buy it is to support Dayz via supporting BIS, and the Arma community that Dayz is a part of.

If you get past the inherent clunkiness of Arma2 and start checking out some of the other things it has to offer, you might be even more excited.

Forgot how ugly they look in Lite. I've had PMC from day 1.

hard to judge from those pics as they are completely non comparable

you need 2 same screens on the same graphical detail and location, not random screens :-P

There was actually another thread about this somewhere in the forums that someone posted side by side compares in. I'm just not going to go looking for it.

I'm sure it's a nice addition of you have a bit of extra cash to spare. Otherwise I don't think it's needed unless you like your games looking top notch.
