Beginner question

Hello,

I recently bought arma 2, logged in dayz.

Played a few times, but I couldn't find any weapon(s) in my bad, nor in areas.

Isn't there supose to be a revolver in my bag?

I've seen youtube videos where people had a revolver in the beginning.

Old videos. You do not start with a weapon anymore. Try finding the large barns with the slanted roof, or the long cattle barns with large open doors. Both of them are good places to look for your first gun. Or deer stands if you are near one.

I don't know what exact version that was, but that's really old footage. You used to start with a revolver, then they changed it to a Makarov PM, and now they've changed it again and you start with nothing but a flashlight, painkillers, and a bandage now.

the older builds had u spawn with a makarov, they took this out best thing to do is look in barns for a starter gun good luck

No, you no longer start with a gun. Just a bandage, flashlight and painkillers.

Even though he has a gun in this video, I used this guide when starting near Elektro with no gun whatsoever and it really helped me get the supplies and weapons I needed to get on my feet.
