fish muffin 1 Posted May 18, 2012 After falling off a roof in Elktro, getting shot, and loosing connection to the server, I have since been getting spawned into the debug forest, which is apparently just west of Pavlovo, as I am able to walk to that village if I go directly east from spawning. I spawn after a considerable amount of time spent in the retrieving character info from server screen, and I have all of my gear. However, there is no sound besides menu sounds. No music, no ambient, no footsteps, no gunshots. Attempting to respawn yields the same results, and I still have my gear. Switching servers does nothing. This has been happening for a few days. All of my files are up to date, and I know its installed correctly, since it was working before. I am assuming that my character data at the master server is messed up in some way. Disgraced 1123 Posted May 19, 2012 THIS IS A VERY, VERY KNOWN ISSUE.Debug forest means you are NOT connected.If you have no gear or are in a forest and cannot move, you've timed out on connecting to the server.It's well kinown and mostly due to the overwhelming demand, but more so because people keep spamming to reconnect.Guys, it might be disappointing, but this game/mod does NOT have 'patch Tuesdays'. jonaswashe 7 Posted May 19, 2012 Definitely sounds like your character is broken on the database side, problem is you're getting slotted in with the people who don't read the forums and complain about the real "debug forest". Sounds to me like you need a dev to reset your character by hand. You might try tweeting the DayZ Dev team twitter:http://twitter.com/#!/dayzdevteamMake sure that when you contact them you specify that this isn't the same Debug Forest issue others are experiencing.Again, you have a problem that sounds like it's on the master server side and probably needs dev attention but you aren't getting attention because you problem is too similar to a common issue.
