Is repairing a car or truck worth the effort? Does one require any more work or parts than the other? (Not reffering to choppers, motor bikes, or ATV's, just normal trucks and sedans)

Also is there any specific area where car parts frequently spawn?

I think It is worth repairing any vehicle you see.

They are pretty rare and usually people that find one would just hide it in a forest.

However, they are extremely easy to explode/break down.

Oh i guess i should have asked this to. As you said people take them and speed off right away, can they respawn in the area while still being dirven by somone else? And if so how often?

Here's a free tip though. Do NOT drive an ATV with a red engine. If you hit a twig the thing will explode :@ ...

False ... I see other vehicles driving all the time. And we certainly dont just hide/hoard our vehicles ... we use the shit out of them.

The areas most likely to spawn a good amount of car parts ( jerry cans, engine parts, fuel tank parts, scrap metal, glass, and tires ) are the industrial/factory areas. Get a loot map and take a look at where these industrial areas are ... and enjoy ;]

But i thought they de-spawned if you logged off, even if you save them. I found a bycicle by Balota once, but i was planning to get off so i took it deep DEEP (fuckin deep) into the forest and logged off right beside it. When i logged on the next day it was gone. Unless bikes are just glitchy. And yes i i saved it, but it still whent away.

They do not; those people are called vehicle hoarders. Usually clans hoard a lot of the vehicles at their base not to mention loot. Loot does respawn, however.

Vehicles are capped; you can only find a new one spawned on the map if a current vehicle is destroyed. For parts, you can try The Factory south of Berezino; it's not as popular as many of the other heavy industrial spawn points, though you should still be careful.

No ... they dont respawn until that vehicle is destoyed ... hence the reason ppl without them are bitching.

Sounds like someone stole your bike. At present, it takes seven days of inactivity for a vehicle to despawn. Someone check me on that.

I must be the most unlucky person on earth. Afaik bikes are the only thing not marked on any online maps, and they are hard as fuck to find. I Miss it :(

I think bikes are the best vehicles in the game. All other vehicles are just tents with benefits.

Yeah bikes are OP as hell too, just ride around somone with the 200 zombie train you started and watch him dissapear in a storm of screams.

That is an excellent point. I just don't have eight. Our first day of playing, my partner and I each found a bike leaning against a lighthouse. It was magical. Two bikes at one location.

Nicely magical ... yeah, thats a spawn point for bikes, and it spawns 2.

Me and my group were walking through the woods, talking about how badly we wanted to find a vehicle. Not 5 minutes later we find a ural parked in the woods which is HEAVILY damaged. About 3 tires, one engine, one fuel tank, and scrap metal later, we had ourselves a running truck.

I would definetely recommend a vehicle unless you enjoy running everywhere.

I once stole a Land Rover from 6 guys. They drove right past me, parked it in the bushes nearby and all got out to go loot a nearby supermarket.

They fired a few shots at the back of the thing as I sped off. I tooted the horn and never saw them again.

The one I found was not at a spawn point, it was where someone else had left it. Look through the wooded areas for a vehicle. Most players will tell you to check the edges of the map, but I have had no luck there so far.
