PDW:SD

Yesterday i killed a Camper in Chernogorsk and i found a PDW SD on him.

Now after trying to search the web for quite a while (even tryed a forum search here with the help of gooogle only to find links that say "file doesnt exist")

im gonna asking here if this weapon is legit after patch 1.7.2 or if it is a hacked one.

I know there are supposed to be PDW SD magazines that make it silenced but not sure about the weapon at all.

The picture shown at the dayz wiki looks like a SD one so im realy unsure if its good to keep it or not.

The PDW can fire numerous 9mm magazines. And the SD mags will only silence the gun for Zeds not players.

It's a good keep if you always end up finding 9mm ammo : )

I have never seen PDW:SD

That's the gun. I didn't read about it beeing taken out so it should still be legit.

But it's quite useless. Kicks like a mule, you need a couple of hits to kill a zombie and the sights are more or less useless. I'd trade it for a 1911 or revolver anytime dispite the mag capacity.

no official word though, noone really knows who gets banned for which kind of weapon.

but apparently people get banned for cheated weapons.

there is the wiki, but its weaponlist is said to be incomplete.

if in doubt, don't pick up.

Well so far it seems hacked but i would love a official statement...

Stil i cant understand why rocket isnt releasing a weapon list so it is easyer to check for hacked stuff ...

I've never seen it drop, and have only come across one, and have heard that it is a hacked weapon. But as long as YOU didn't hack it in you should be fine.

Well the story was that a guy named "Recon" killed 3 of my buddys in Cherno so i went on a sniper spot with my enfield and lured him out. After i killed him i found a lot of things:

NV, Rangefinder, GPS, Fn-Fal with 12 mags, PDW:SD with 6 mags and a coyote backpack filled with food and such. I know about everything except the PDW so far...

The problem is if i die and someone looting my body finds the pdw sd and reports it for being hacked how should i proof that it isnt hacked by me?

Not in list, so it's either brand new to the game or hacked.

remembering rocket saying there will be new weapons with 1.7.2 in some older post still have no new info on what got patched in/out

This is completely wrong. Weapons that are normally usable in Arma 2 will still have an icon, even if they're not in spawn lists on DayZ.

The hive keeps track of who hacks things in and who has picked up those hacked items. So if you have a character that is prone to finding a lot of hacked items you'll probably get banned. Even though they say you won't get banned for using hacked items, but for just hacking them in, my clan and I keep a strict policy to not bother with anything we know is hacked in. Which I think is a policy most people should adopt.

I really think a weapons list from the Devs would do so much good in this department. As much as I like the immersion of not knowing what is out there and the "surprise" factor of finding new loot, or loot you have never seen, it's just overall a cleaner system if we know for sure what can be in loot piles or not.

i heard that if BattleEye scans you with a scripted/hacked in weapon it is a ban, no matter who brought it in
