bichplsz 5 Posted July 12, 2012 After losing all of my gear up at the northwest airfield I respawned in Elektro, and I thought that I might as well stick around for a while until some decent loot spawns, although I did avoid the north firestation because of the open area for snipers. When I didn't find any decent gear such as a backpack or a map I thought to myself; aah, powerplant firestation seems cool. I was so wrong. The second I got to the firestation I hear a .50 cal sniper shooting at me from the hill to the west of the firestation and I die. I was quite mad because I was just about to leave town, so I decided to do a lil' bit of sneakysneaky time.Luckily for me I spawned in Elektro once again with no gear at all, although I did spot a Lee Enfield in one of the residental buildings when scavenging the town with my previous character. I run there as fast as I can, pick the Enfield up and start running around the big mountain where he was at when he shot me. After running for a good ~15minutes I start going up the hill. When I reach the top I can't see anyone and think to myself that he had probably moved to another area. I decide to stay for a couple of minutes, and BAM, there he was with another guy down by a tree at the dirtroad just above the main road. My heart starts racing and I start wondering what I should do. Suddenly the guy that didn't have the sniper ran down the hill toward the firestation (probably to loot my corpse) and I see my window of opportunity. When the dude with the assault rifle was just outside the powerplant (firestation) I run like 30m closer to the sniper and pop him in the head and he drop dead. I loot his corpse as fast as I can, take the sniper and all the tools, nightvision, gps u name it. Obviously these two guys were playing together and communicating over some sort of VoIP program so I see the other guy with the assault rifle running toward me now instead of the firestation. I switch to my M107 that i just picked up, turned on zeroing on 400 and aim a bit over his head and BOOM headshot. After I killed both of them my heart was still racing and I don't want to loot the guy down by the station since it's way to risky so I decide to get the F out of there with my new sniper and my new gear. That's how you do it.
thetamsen 57 Posted July 12, 2012 Like a F*cking boss! Now maybe you should learn something of it - don't camp close to respawn areas. You'll die a few minutes later by the player you just shot. :D
KarinjaNinja 80 Posted July 12, 2012 Nice, I bet they were both PISSED, hahahahaha. Serves them right for bringing all that good gear to elektro just to shoot a few ungeared people.
Dazed 80 Posted July 12, 2012 Lol, at first I thought you were talking about my buddy Acid and I. We were sniping people at the firestation yesterday morning with .50's. We picked up 5 kills around the that firestation and Electro before moving on.

savini 587 Posted July 12, 2012 (edited) Nice! That story reminds me of a similar situation I had. My buddy and I linked up in Elektro and were about to leave, when we came under attack. A couple snipers in that same firestation were picking guys off as they headed inland. We both get killed, but I make it my personal goal to take my revenge. I eventually found a CZ and worked my way around Elektro to the hill that overlooks the firestation. I did some scouting for a bit to see what I was dealing with, before missing the first two or three shots =/. Eventually I ended the lives of our assailants and my pal and I went down to collect our reward. Unfortunately for someone who was not us...he was at the wrong place at the wrong time and I had to put an end to his climbing. Then my pal announces he has a fan club behind him as he is running up behind me. We try to run into the station only to find the doors wired shut. So we turn around to alleviate the undead of the "un" and gather our composure. In our haste we didn't realize one of the doors was not barricaded. In we trot. I take fire immediately and panic. Then, like something out of an action movie, my pal pops around the corner and lays the bandit out. We survey the area, and collect our loot. This is about the time my mouse starts giving out (I still use an old school track ball...it's what I'm used to :P). I look up and to my horror, I'm looking down the barrel of a pistol belonging to one of the bandits I had killed earlier. A short firefight ensues with a pretty silly ending.Luckily I was running fraps during this occurence :D The nametags are server-side settings. Watch in HD for full effect. Double_Back 36 Posted July 12, 2012 Like a F*cking boss! Now maybe you should learn something of it - don't camp close to respawn areas. You'll die a few minutes later by the player you just shot. :DNot only that, a fresh spawn has nothing to lose; even if he isn't the one you just killed and just heard the shot. If he's picked up so much as an axe, he's far more likely to think "what the hell" and go looking for the sniper. Not much to lose. Guys up north are going to be a hell of a lot more cautious about risking their life going after a sniper if they don't know pretty much exactly where he is and have a covered route to get there and a buddy or two to cover them.
