GPS Co-ordinates Eastings First

It's getting confusing to communicate grid references now that some of our many members have acquired a GPS, as it appears the GPS reads Northings first (or, in this case, Southings).

Given that maps are much easier to acquire, and should correctly be read Eastings first, could the GPS be sync'ed up to read Easting then Southing? e.g. GPS reference 113101 becomes 101113.

It's perfectly fine. It worked that way for more then 10 years since Operation Flashpoint to Arma and Arma2.

The X coordinate goes first. The Y coordinate goes second.

Your graphic agrees with my post, that Eastings are read first. Maybe the folks who have a GPS are not yet reading it correctly. If I could find one I'd test it myself, but it appears that - according to your image - the GPS does in fact detail East then North.
