Skin Change possible without respawning?

Hi,

me and some guys were thinking about having the same skin (colour) to better recognize each other.

Got some questions now:

1. My current char is female, is it possible to change a female skin as well? Just wondering because I read somewhere that there were no female character models in Arma 2 originally.

2. If I was able to change my skin colour, would I have to hit respawn? It's Day 5 and I got some gear on me atm, you know, nobody wants to lose gear for dumb reasons :)

Hi,

1) Unfortunately no other female skins than the default one are available now.

2) Nope, in this case i would recommend you to find camo suits to unify yourself.

Actually, the answer to 2 is yes, changing your facial skin doesn't require a restart. Just change it under your profile and the next time you log in you'll have the new skin :)

for the record: since you are able to change your character's appearance (as long as it's male) without respawning the answer to the 2nd question is actually "no". ;o)

just create a new profile with the desired name and appearance and switch to that profile (or edit your existing profile). You will still have the same gear/position ingame as your dayz character is not bound to your arma 2 profile but to your cd-key.

Thanks for you replies guys.

Too bad I'll have to die to change, but it's great news to me that male chars can be edited anytime without losing gear or having to respawn.
