What happens when you don't eat?

Seriously though... we all panic a bit when that little icon starts flashing at us but I cant seem to find any information about what happens if you just leave it flashing. There's plenty of information on other status effects (bleeding etc.) available over on the wiki, but nothing about hunger. What happens?

You loose blood. Blood 0 = dead.

You will lose I think 20 (it might be 10) blood every couple of seconds until you die.

Same effect as a slow bleed. Last time I was that hungry, it was like 100 health every couple seconds. Been awhile, don't remember exactly.

And you'll have to check the patch notes, but I believe it was changed around a bit in regards to dying from hunger and whether blood transfusions can repair starvation.

If I remember well, it starts on the 10s, and if you do something that increases your thirst or hunger (like running) you start losing it in the 100s
