Delta Smoke 01 765 Posted July 12, 2012 I read in a thread that there is a command in the path on a shortcut that adds additional quad core support, increasing performance. Is this possible with six launcher ? If so or not could someone explain how to set it up this way pls.
jetao2008@hotmail.com 175 Posted July 12, 2012 (edited) There is an option in six-launcher when you enter on the settings area, it's something called additional startup parameters, or something like that. You need to add the command right there, but honestly, i think by default it's already set to use all your cores, but i cannot confirm that. vitdom 56 Posted July 12, 2012 Wow. If it's true that a modern game does not utilize the available cores if they're required, it really sucks. My i7 has 8 cores(4 physical) and I expect them all to be used.

Zeromentor 169 Posted July 12, 2012 -cpuCount=4Use that in target line if you are loading from the .exe file, or add it to the launch options of what you are trying to run it from (Steam, or whatever).Unless I got my commands wrong (which does happen) this should make it use 4 cores. SponceUK 24 Posted July 12, 2012 I have a hex core, presumably I can just change the 4 to 6? Or is there a limit?
Zeromentor 169 Posted July 12, 2012 Okay, I'm going to assume people are using Six Launcher. So go to options under the little menu on the left, under the Twitter, Facebook, Google, etc crap. Hit Options, and in Additional Startup Parameters type, -cpuCount=4You can change the number from 4 to something else according to however many cores you have. 2, 3, 4, 8, whatever. Just don't go over it. I'm pretty sure that is the target line needed. I could be wrong. If I am, I hope someone corrects me. I'll edit this if someone does and I notice. You can also search google to check and see if I am right. I'm too busy watching Greatest Tank Battles Episode 7. SponceUK 24 Posted July 12, 2012 Thanks for the info I never knew that. Was it always like that since OFP?... Actually there were no multicores around then :P Arma though?
SponceUK 24 Posted July 12, 2012 I just tested ad it does seem to help a little. Can anyone tell me if ArmaII supports SLi? I seem to recall that Arma did not.
OrLoK 16188 Posted July 12, 2012 Hello therebest place to look at the beginning is HEREThat's all the recognised start up params. Essential for better performance IMHO.rgdsLoK
