Drake Sigar 9 Posted April 27, 2012 I tried. I really tried to use first-person, but it can't be done. I can't tell what my character's stance is, most light sources are now completely useless (as if playing in the dark wasn't hard enough?) and on top of all that, my eyeballs are vomiting from the shaky camera (I can't watch 3D movies either). Motion-sickness is not rare, and when that unpleasant experience is being given to me in the name of immersion, I'd say immersion has been taken too far. tajin 17 Posted April 27, 2012 AFAIK you can turn off the camera-shake when walking, check the game-options.Aside from that, you'll get used to first person soon enough (regarding character stance and whatnot). At any rate, this is much better than having people peek around corners using the third person camera, without having to expose themselves. That can be very annoying in pvp.
Edwin (DayZ) 0 Posted April 27, 2012 Im just going to agree with Tajin. The peeking destorys PvP.
SSG Izo 4 Posted April 27, 2012 Head bob in options lowers the shakyness according to your preference.I for one wont play on any server with spacebar spotting or third person.
andrewjs 11 Posted April 27, 2012 Third person is a sever option, US3 and US4 are the only 2 set in first person as far as I know. Just go to another server.
Atkins (DayZ) 4 Posted April 28, 2012 Play, play and play with 1st person, u get used to it. And the immersion factor is so much better with it. 3rd person mode doesn't fit PvP gameplay at all. It will be abused.
