Reecon 3 Posted July 12, 2012 (edited) I have the same problem. Funny that it always seems to be 8fps. Wouldn't it vary a little when the problem is our system? A friend has a similar system and never has these problems.[edit] The other weird thing is, changing the server almost allways helps [/edit]specs: gtx 470; 8gb ram; phenom 2 x4 945; 2 hdd sata 150 raid 0 Edited July 12, 2012 by Reecon

Davo{RS} 2 Posted July 16, 2012 (edited) I had a weird fps drop issue caused by dust in my PC causing the motherboard to overheat.Using an air-duster fixed it.See my post here:http://dayzmod.com/f...ag-spikes-help/ Edited July 16, 2012 by davo1980
Takas 91 Posted July 16, 2012 (edited) @davo1980: Thank you! I opened my computer and dusted everything off, a couple of days ago though. But this time I opened the cooling of my CPU, and beneath it was very much dust, which my vacuum cleaner could not reach. Now I dusted it and shit works very smooth now. Full settings and always +30 FPS, mostly 40. Great. I love it.So my advice: Software-wise nothing helps? Your FPS is still low? Open your PC and clean every corner, beneath, on top, everything. Very much recommended: Open your CPU, beneath the fan hides a lot of dust you might not even be able to see with the fan on top of it. Headbucket 0 Posted July 16, 2012 (edited) In the past I also had fps reductions in big cities. But from patch to patch it was a bit better. I have an pheonon x6 1100t and a change from 2500MHz to 3300Mhz brings +10fps.With 3,3GHz I can play it really well (45-60fps). Maybe a few less in big cities. But always smooth.Arma 2 is also using multicore support as you can see here: http://www.pcgamesha...-Auslastung.PNGBut Phenom seems generally much worse than intel processors as you can see here: http://www.pcgamesha...2-CPUs-1280.pngEdit: You have to copy and past the links to open... .
