Free sex? Count me in.

Try launching the game from Six Launcher, let me know if that helps.

Also, let me know what the results from this are:

http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/intro.aspx

What options are you using in-game, too?

EDIT2: What version of DayZ are you running? 1.7.2?

Sorry for all the help, I just really want this sex.

edit:2

Also, let me know what the results from this are:

http://www.systemreq...cyri/intro.aspx

Everythings seems to be finde minimum and recommends passed.

Video options dont change anything very low = same fps as very high.

Edit3:

started via six launcher. on a server where 30 ppl where playing, i was in cherno at the place called factory it was night and i got 8 fps.

changed server (dayz-es). i got there 19 fps at the same place.

This really sucks if you get forced to pvp i nearly always die caused by my lags, i cant resist bandits.

Remove the -maxmem parameter to begin with.

Then, navigate to C:/Users/My Documents/ArmA 2/ArmA2OA.cfg

Change whatever values that follow these parameters into the ones below.

GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1;
GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1;

Let me know if it helped.

EDIT: -winxp -world=Chernarus

Why are you using these parameters? Especially the winxp one when you're running W7?

Alrighty i deleted the -maxmem parameter.

I changed my config into this

GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1;

GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1;

I already read about this but i also read there http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/arma2.cfg --> "GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=3; written by engine each start, changing it manually has no effect!"

I am using the parameters -winxp because i read in several forums that this should increase fps for people using win7.

The parameter -world=Chernarus will load the map "Chernarus" already when you start the game and not when you try to connect to a server.

Now that i tried those changes i joined a server and i read "Unrated was killed". I lol'ed and then i spawned in the debug area/wildernis without choosing male or female character or anything like this (hopefully i did not die). In the debug area where no objects/trees/anything are, i got 70 fps in that area. So changing back the settings didnt helped so i had to kill myself and respawn.

So changing this from 1000 to GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1; doesnt do anything.

Wait, you spawned in the debug wilderness? Did you respawn and see where you ending up spawning?

Well i spawned in the debug area where is nothing out but the ground (no trees etc.). So i pressed the respawn button and my next spawn-point was near balota. Im not sure if the debug area bug was a server sided issue or the fact that i changed the code in my config.

So im trying right now with only this code GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1; to join a server.

.....

But it doesnt has any effect on my fps. So gonna change it back.

Edit:

I am right now on a server out of the towns and get if i look to the water 50 fps. If i run around looking to the forest i get 24-36 fps. In town i would think it will be the same as before around 16-22 fps.

Not good at all. I also tried the Memory Flush (hold shift + press - on the numpad; then type flush). Changed nothing so far.

edit2: now that i played for 2 minutes running in the direction to cherno i get only 17-19 fps. Damn this sucks so hard. Makes me wanna cry :)

I'm going to assume you've messed with your in-game settings? Seriously, turn EVERYTHING off and to the lowest setting. If this helps, let me know.

FPS are shown in the screenshots:

So this settings i currently use to play:

http://picupload.org.../07/11/4QCz.jpg

This shitty ultra low settings give me +2-6 fps (in my eyes it should improve like 30 more, so theres something really wrong). I even set both resolutions to the lowest value i could. thats the result:

Edit:

Processor load while playing around 50%.

Ram load while playing around 35%.

That's incredibly strange.

What version are you on, 1.7.2, right? Did you ever play on 1.7.1.5?

Edit: Just to completely ruin everything graphically, turn your visibility right down and quality preference to lowest setting.

Are you playing on any specific server? Try changing servers.

I played also version 1.7.1.5 and had the same issues there. I hoped to get performance improvement as it was said in the changelog of 1.7.2 but nothin improved for me.

Turning visibility to the lowest value (500) doesnt change anything. Even with ultra low settings (including resolutions) i get in elektro only around 24 fps.

I already tried different server. Sometimes i get only servers where my fps is around 8-10 fps, but there are like 30 or more ppl playing on so i cant believe its a server sided issue but otherwise if i change the server to "dayz-es" (my favorite, cause theres a restart every 3 hours) my fps are better but mostly not above 25 fps.

Just wondering.. have you made sure your resolution setting matches the 3D resolution setting?

They do. See his images posted above ^

Your CPU is WAY too slow for this game. Try overclocking it. If it doesn't work, then too bad :(

Or maybe it's a HDD problem : you should try using Ultimate Defrage, then launch a defrag with Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA folders set in High performance area of your HDD. Improved loading times and fps a bit for me.

AMD Phenom X4 9750 is of corse not the best one and a bit old too but way to slow for this game? at least it is a quad core 4x2,4 GHz but im not sure how the multithreading works with that game. thats why i used the parameters cpucount=4

DayZ, even more than arma, relies a lot on your cpu. And arma is nothing but a game, multithreading doesn't make a big difference, raw power does. 2.4 ghz is... just not enough for arma or dayz. But I'm sure if you can overclock it to 2.8-3 ghz you would get 40-50 fps. Maybe more given your GPU is really good.

I recommend you to Upgrade your CPU, it's pretty.. old actually.

well i took a look for some new cpus and i found out that my current cpu (am2+ socket) costs around 120 € while the new ones like an amd cpu 4100 fx (quadcore 3,6 ghz, am3+) costs 80-120€.

dont unterstand this....

No i would say upgrading CPU won't help.

I have the same problem, only ~12FPS, ultra high or low doesn't change anything.

Changing the view distance from 1300 to MAX will get me ~8FPS.

Phenom II 955@3,6Ghz

8GB RAM

GTX 680@1200

Win7 64

Steam

CPU and GPU sit around 50% while the game is shitty like hell -.-

Funny thing is, until today i got ~70FPS in Spawnareas, and still over 40 in Towns.

Since today i am lucky to get even 20 :(

There are also heavy graphic bugs, like black/white "walls" all over the place.

In normal ArmA2OA i get also only 25FPS but no graphic bugs.

BF3 and everything else runs in 60+FPS on best settings and heavy AA, but ArmA2 is just like the worst programmed game i ever saw :(

Edit: And i really tried everything i found via google, but how could something help if the game just doesn't want to use the resources of my system anymore...

I am having major issues playing the game as well. I have tried all of the suggested fixes that I have found here on the forums.

My specs:

Alienware M17x R3

CPU - i7 2720QM @ 2.2 ghz (3.3ghz turbo)

GPU - Radeon HD 6900M Series (2MB)

8GB DDR3 Ram

For Arma II standalone, not mod, the game runs perfectly with all settings maxed.

Day Z mod: I can play for about 1 minute, then the game starts stuttering for 1 second, good for 1 second, laggy stutter, good, stutter, and repeat.

I've tried everything. Turned off core parking, changed launch options, tried changing turbo boost settings and intel speedstep tech off/on, tried absolute min. setting in game which causes the game to be even worse than all maxed settings.

I can't figure out what is wrong. Are there any other people using the i7-2720 that are having similar issues? Same chip no issues at all?
