Time changing 1.7.2

What happened:

Took off my NVG's given it was 4:22am ingame, everything was nice and light, relogged after a clanmate informed me his watch read 2:50am and it was then 2:50am. Other people were at different times as well.

Was waiting there at Pobeda Dam for about 2 hours for everyone to meet up just watching the sun rise until we all realized the time difference, after the relog it was again dark and hours back in time, although my character and gear and everything remained the same.

I think this is a long lasting known issue.. the longer you are in-game the more your time desyncs.. when you relog, your time resyncs with server

or something along those lines

nah our camp was actually raided, and completely picked clean. And it was west of skulka, go check for yourself lol

I experienced the same problem yesterday on 1.7.2.3 on Dutch server.

I spot this problem two weeks ago. For example, when on my watch 8pm my brother's watch shows 6pm.

It's a known problem. You time gets synced with the server upon login, after that there's no resync. So over time it diverges. I recommend rejoining every 2 hours of play (on the same server) or so to resync.

this seems different to what I experience, when I log on and its 8pm, that should be the sync point, but if I play for 20 mins and relog, its 8pm again. Can be abused to have daylight when others have night.

If this is what you mean I think its a big problem. Are you referring to how it can be complete darkness for everyone in a server since, but for anyone who logs in it can be 530pm for example and day light, giving a massively unfair advantage to those in pitch black.
