New player, Looking for a group, and thoughts on the mod.

First off, I'd like to open by saying I'm an adult, not some xx360nosc0p3xx 12 year old CoD fan. I hate CoD. Anyway, DayZ is great, really really good. I've never had such a blast of adrenaline and fun in all my life. The game is a bit rough but I can understand that coming from an Alpha game. And to be honest, so far it is the most fun I've ever had in any game.

Anyway, I've been able to scavenge a few weapons for myself and I have a friend I bought the game for who accompanies me. The first life I had was actually better than it is now. I found an AKM in an airport like area. I was killed though, someone must have thought I was hostile, or they were just being a douchebag. Though, I've fared much better my second life and currently am equipped along with my friend, albeit much less interesting weaponry. I'd really like to get into a group of more than just 2 though, because even with each other me aren't as safe as I feel we could be. Any group that allows us to have around 5 players would be great. We both have microphones so that won't be a problem. Me and my friend usually log in at the same time and log off at the same time. Having 5 people I can understand this to be a problem, but I'm sure meeting up and such isn't too difficult.

Ehh, sorry. Was late at night and didn't have much time to review any rules. I think I saw similar threads in the same section so I felt it was okay. Won't happen again.

And I'm in US, East Coast. My friend is the same.

Currently, we all play at the same time, every time. Never do we play without each other.
